Leaves rustle in the wind
The air is crisp
The temperature's plummet is unmistakable
But this heart, already frozen
Feels nothing
Bitter winds chill my spine
Encased in ice, my heart, stays solid
I know these winds
They are unforgiving
So begging becomes quite pointless
Instead I turn my back and close my eyes
Eyes on the sun, I try to focus
It's hopeless
Tears want to fall but they keep freezing
Ducts clogged with anger dam the flow
I'm breathing but my heart stopped beating
Love may have died but the wind still blows

Nice read! Dark and deep...wish I could write more about love. Maybe it's because my heart is frozen. haha
